Exams & X-Rays
Expect your initial exam to take about an hour and a half. When you arrive, we’ll review your new patient paperwork and discuss your current concerns.
You’ll meet Dr. Ross, a general and cosmetic dentist in Loveland, CO, and receive a thorough dental examination. Your teeth will be checked for cavities, the integrity of existing dental work will be evaluated, your gums will be examined, your bite alignment will be checked, and an oral cancer screening will be performed. We will take any necessary radiographs, photographs, or diagnostic casts to thoroughly evaluate your oral health.
We use cutting edge digital x-ray technology. Digital x-rays are more comfortable to the patient, offer less exposure and are easier to preserve.
Cleanings & Perio
We understand the value and importance of preventative dentistry. Prevention of periodontal disease can be achieved through good oral hygiene habits and regular professional cleanings. Working as a team, we hope to keep your smile looking and feeling its best.
Periodontal diseases are infections of the gums and bone that surround and support the teeth. In its early stage, called gingivitis, the gums can become swollen and red, and they may bleed. In its more serious form, called periodontitis, the gums can pull away from the tooth, bone can be lost, and the teeth may loosen or even fall out. Periodontal disease is mostly seen in adults. Periodontal disease and tooth decay are the two biggest threats to dental health.
Gingivitis can be controlled and treated with good oral hygiene and regular professional cleanings. More severe forms of periodontal disease can also be treated successfully but may require more extensive treatment. Such treatment might include deep cleaning of the tooth root surfaces below the gums, medications prescribed to take by mouth or placed directly under the gums, and sometimes corrective surgery. Let us help you maintain good oral health as your new dentist in Loveland, Colorado.
Fillings & Veneers
When you choose to place your dental care in the hands of a caring and understanding dentist like Dr. Ross, you’ll be treated as a real person with real concerns that may have prevented you from considering aesthetic or restorative dentistry thus far.
Fillings are usually recommended to remove decay, or cavities. Cavities can be treated easily and painlessly if they are caught early enough. If not treated in their early stages, decay can lead to tooth pain and/or infection, and the tooth would need root canal treatment or extraction.
Dental veneers are wafer-thin, custom-made shells of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve appearance. These shells are bonded to the front of the teeth changing their color, shape, size, or length. Your smile is a significant part of your life, and veeners can help you achieve a smile you can feel good about. Dr Anne Ross is your cosmetic dentist in Loveland, Colorado.

Contrary to popular belief, root canals are not necessarily painful. Root canal therapy is often the necessary treatment when there is a toothache present. Once the procedure is started the pain begins to lessen and eventually disappears.
A root canal is a treatment used to repair and save a tooth when the pulp has become inflamed or infected. This can be caused by deep decay, repeated dental procedures on the tooth, a crack or chip in the tooth or trauma to the tooth. During a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed. Without treatment, the tissue surrounding the tooth will become infected and abscesses may form. If you need a root canal from a dentist in Loveland, Colorado give us a call today and we’ll see you as soon as possible.
Dentures & Partials
A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. Two types of dentures are available — complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain.
Although there can be an adjustment period after dentures are placed in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to, with the use of dental implants as attachments, people find that wearing dentures can be much more enjoyable. If you need dentures from a dentist in Loveland, Colorado we are here to help.
A dental extraction is the removal, or pulling of a tooth. Typically, extractions are recommended because there is a problem with the tooth itself, or with the structures that surround and support the tooth. Sometimes, decay or fracture is so severe that there is too much damage for the tooth to be repaired. A tooth can also require extraction due to periodontal disease. Significant bone loss around the roots of the teeth occurs and the teeth become very mobile and possibly infected.
If you need an extraction, we will work with you to ensure your comfort both during and after the procedure. For answers to commonly asked questions about post-operative dental extraction care see our FAQ page, brought to you by Dr Anne Ross, your dentist in Loveland, CO.
